Our Complaint Procedure:
We are confident of providing a high quality service in all respects. If, however, you have any query or concern about our work for you, please raise them in the first instance with your caseworker, who is handling your case. If that does not resolve the problem to your satisfaction or you would prefer not to speak to him then please state your grievances in writing to our complaint handling officer Mr Imran Panaawala, who is the principal of the firm so that these can be resolved amicably.
All solicitors must attempt to resolve a problem that may arise with their services. It is therefore important that you raise immediately any concerns you may have with us. We value you and would not wish to think you have reason to be unhappy with us.
Once we receive your complaint in writing we promptly act on your complaint. We will discuss the matter with you in detail and respond to you within fourteen days in writing. We will try to resolve the matter within 8 weeks. If we have not resolved it within this time you may complain to the Legal Ombudsman. If you are not satisfied with our handling of your complaint you can ask the Legal Ombudsman at PO Box 15870 Tamworth B77 9LE, by telephone No. 0300 555 0333 or by email: enquiries@legalombudsman.org.uk to consider the complaint. The Legal Ombudsman’s website is at: www.legalombudsman.org.uk. Normally, you will need to bring a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman within six months of receiving a final written response from us about your complaint or within a year of the act or omission about which you are complaining occurring (or you becoming aware of it).
If your complaint is about your bill, you can apply for an assessment of the bill under Part III of the Solicitors Act 1974. The Legal Ombudsman cannot consider a complaint about the bill if you have applied to the Court for assessment of the bill. We may be able to charge interest on all or part of an unpaid bill.
